  • Fri, 00:41: Tonight’s #Overwatch lesson: I am a terrible Widowmaker. XD Seem to be solid on Soldier76 tho. DVa still my gal. <3
  • Fri, 00:41: Next up: gonna try Lucio some. Wall-running is going to be the big challenge there I suspect.
  • Fri, 00:42: Note: This is all in training. All bets are off against other players. I can barely handle DVa in that setting. XD #Overwatch
  • Fri, 00:43: That said, there seems to be a contingent of players who never leave the “training vs. AI” mode. You can level up there all day.
  • Fri, 00:44: I worry that it may be teaching bad skills in the long run, tho.
  • Fri, 00:44: You can stand and trade blows with AI foes, and that just boils down to math. If you can burn ‘em down first, you win.
  • Fri, 00:44: Live match, not so much.
  • Fri, 00:46: There is a tougher “vs. AI" mode in the actual game. Not sure why you’d use it tho, other than empty servers.
  • Fri, 00:48: I do want to get into some more actual playing with team-mates. So far I’ve grouped with @Inkblitzer once and my former boss once.
  • Fri, 00:48: The person I’ve grouped with most is a rando I met who apparently took a shine to me when I praised her healing in an AI match.
  • Fri, 00:50: OTOH, we were all randos once, right? XD
  • Fri, 00:51: My goal by level 20 is to have a decent grasp on 3-5 chars and to switch to mostly live matches. Guessing it’ll be DVa, Soldier, & Lucio.
  • Fri, 00:52: Although I got to the point where I could actually score kills w/ Widowmaker, my aim isn’t good enough to really do well.
  • Fri, 00:54: If I can take my time, my aim is fine. But “take your time” and “Overwatch” don’t go together. :P

  • Fri, 00:55: Oh! One fun thing I pulled off tonight: used DVa’s boosters to knock someone off the map for a kill. XD
  • Fri, 00:57: I do pfutz around a bit with Tracer, but I wouldn’t do it in a real match. My situational awareness is too weak, I’d get shredded. XD
  • Fri, 00:58: Plus, I’m always the one yelling at people to get back on the payload, which is the opposite of what you do with Tracer. XD
  • Fri, 01:00: So it makes sense that DVa suits me. She can scout ahead or annoy the enemies back lines, but...
