All civilization goes through three distinct phases, now called the How, When, and Where.
It starts with "How are we going to eat?", progresses to "When should we all eat together?" and culminates in the civilized "Where should we do lunch?" There is a further refinement of civilization which asks "Who should I get to chew my food for me?" but humanity has not yet progressed far enough to even imagine such a question, much less ask it.
