I Love It When a Plan Comes Together

August is officially a Slam Dunk Success! Man, I need way more of those! I even came up with the title for Book Four last night, rather unexpectedly.

There are just a few things I need to finish off today, and then I will stick a fork in August and call it done:

• Orange Alert: Dedication and acknowledgements pages
  
• OA: Send "waiver letters" to Scott and Vince for their material
  
• OA: Burn, baby, burn! (To CD, I mean.)
  
• SJ Newsbox for Sept. 1


• Bowflex! Mmm, Bowflex. And Kung Fu.
  
• Get to the store for Pop Tarts and Bottled Frappuccino
  
• Pack, pack, pack!

Depending on how the day goes, I might try to do some drawing in there somewhere, too. I have scripts for more SJ that it would be really cool to have done and up by the time Hikaru gets back from MFM, although I will have all day Tuesday for that, too. Hmm. That sketch of Col. Beowulf still wants finishing...

Well, actually, Dragon*Con isn't a furry con. It's a friggin' huge sf/fantasy/comics/gaming convention. Admitting to being a furry there will get you all kinds of scorn and derision. :P

The idea of sf/fantasy/comics/gaming geeks looking down on furries always amuses me. :)

Ahh, I stand (well recline actually, laptops in bed are handy :) corrected. Shows you what I don't know about the furry world.

I recall seeing a g33k hierarchy flowchart somewhere, with furries at the very bottom. I found it quite amusing :) Very few people scorn or deride me to my face, especially with this Charlie Manson haircut thing I have going on right now ;-P

Part my advice still stands though: You guys have a blast at the con :) Wave when you're flying over RDU ;-P

Pop Tarts and Bottled Frappuccino are probably the easiest things to find at DragonCon. Bread and milk are impossible.

Pop Tarts are just the wrong side of the food/candy division.
Oatmeal Squares and HNCheerio bars actually count as food. Barely.
