Hmm ... wesha's second cameo has barely made a blip in e-mail, and no response at all on the message board. That surprised me ... it's double-sized! It's a cameo! It's Dover! But it received chirping crickets.

Strange world. :) Ah well.

Anyway, I have been endeavoring to continue upping the art ante for the strip, via the use of backgrounds, more dramatic panel composition, etc., and I'm pretty pleased with tonight's session (assuming the inking doesn't ruin it). Specifically, next Monday has a nice exterior perspective shot (although I see a flaw that I'm going to have to fix before inking, damn my eyes). One of the things that impressed me early on about Kevin and Kell was his use of perspective to add visual interest, and so I figure I could do worse than take a cue from Holbrook-sensei. ;)

Speaking of which, it's about time to get back to it. CYA!

Ah! Sorry about that -- I sent the strip's URL to several people I know (including a network admin whose online persona is a cheetah, and hence loves Dover). It rocked. It was so dead-on.

Heh, I've recently started having the strips sent to my email, so I kinda forget to go check the forum. :P

But I know what it's like to have a strip you think will get a major response have pretty much nothing... even with only my meagre strip count.

I thought it was funny. But I didn't feel like posting it in the forum because nobody wants to listen to what I say anyway. Or they somehow get offended when I do. =P

So, my thoughts:
I liked the characterization of Lagston in the piece. It displays his unique brand of incompetence. Although, the curvature of Wesha's pectoral structure kinda seems a little off in this one. It's kinda pointy on the 2/3rds profile shots. Wesha's armpits in panel 3 seem to start a little low here.
I liked how you zoomed out to show their position and the situation from a further perspective. But when you zoomed in, it was hard to tell that they were sitting at a table. Of course, you were limited in panel width, so that's perfectly understandable.
Hikaru's colouring was well-done here.

Overall the strip was very well-done. It had some errors, but everyone makes mistakes.

Neko, you can be assured that I, and am I'm pretty sure I speak for the Gneech, want to "hear" what you say and we don't get offended by what you post, 99% of the time. I can't say 100% of the time, for we all put our paws in our muzzles every once in a while. ;=3

If you have something to say, say it. It is only the Gneech you have to worry about. It is his forum, no matter how many "mods" there are, and he has final say.

Well, I enjoyed it, but I'm still recovering from the trip, and having read so many different things at once, it's been crazy trying to get caught up with everything. But since you bring it up, I'll say that I was thoroughly amused, and I greatly enjoyed the interaction.

Oh, and I still want to see Lagston get eaten.
