Late Night Update, Starring The Gneech
Jun. 15th, 2002 12:40 amHad dinner at
jamesbarrett's Ruby Tuesday tonight, and ordered a grasshopper ... which came in a great BIG tumbler! There must have been something like four shots in there.
But mmmmmmmm it was a good grasshopper!
Anyway, Laurie and I went to The Museum Company and found the exact same type of wedding ring I had before and ordered a new one. It should come in 6 - 8 weeks.
I finished the penciling for T'Chall's pic that I was working on and sent him a scan; if he likes it, I'll try to ink and color it this weekend. Laurie and I both basically decided against the anime con, but I'm going to check out the site to find if next year's dates have been announced, and put it on my calendar.
Speaking of calendars, since I'm going to try to be more organized about cons, merchandise, and generally getting my sh1t together, I bought a "Monthly and Weekly" academic-style calendar, that covers from July 2002 to July 2003, and into it I'm going to put various con deadlines (when artwork needs to be in for booklets, when donations need to be in, when travel plans need to be made), events around the strips (crossovers, Keenspot events, etc.), and so forth. I want to try to take a more proactive approach to my cartooning, now that I have time and energy again.
Oh, I got some NN strips drafted today; only two so far, but it's progress! If this project of
kelloggs2066's works out, I may have time to get a bunch of NN drawn and get a nice cushion there. :)
Have I ever mentioned how cool my friends are? :) Or how grateful I am to have them?
Well, if not: My friends are super-duper cool, and I'm very grateful to have them! ;)
Anyway, I think that's all the news I have tonight. It's now quite late, and I need to go to bed. I'm hoping to hit the weight room some in the morning, so I need some rest. :)
G'nite, LJ! Have a great tomorrow.

Anyone see Karate Kid?"
I suspect that you're making a reference to the old television series "Kung Fu", with David Carradine.
His Shaolin instructor called the boy that as he was learning.
The Gneech's comment "That was a good Grasshopper!" caused me to imagine the old Shaolin master -- as an Italian. ;)

Knew it had Creme de Menthe but that's all...
