I don't know that I'd really say Star Wars per se, but more general sci-fi silliness. Wasn't Mork and Mindy on at about this time? I'd be more inclined to think Star Trek, who's aliens for the most part were rediculously human.
Coneheads are in Star Wars, but heaven forbid that the Shistivanian Wolfman was in Episode 4. Grrrr. Lucas is weird. It ticks me off he took the wolfman out. At least a jedi Shistivanian made an appearance in the Clone Wars and Clone Wars Season 2. ^_^
Alas, poor George has a faulty coolness generator. It works perfectly about 60% of the time, badly 20% of the time, and completely fails 20% of the time.
