I'm not sure what's worse: the fact that people will pay that much for a replica X-Wing, or the fact that I can spot inaccuracies in the supposed "life-size" model. (For example, all four engines, and in fact the entire aft 3rd of the fighter, is just a shade too small. Call it about 75% scale.)

i think if you could get an xwing to fly youd need the avionics out of an f111 as itd fly like a brick or be imposible to handle without computer asist

but would be tris cool to fly one for long as it stayed up "watch out for those towers"

You know for what they're asking I could buy, insure and maintain something that would really fly and look almost as cool. I've got to agree with Stilghar that there's also something not quite right about it. I didn't take the time to check drawings and such but it just seems wrong in some areas.
