Of all the many things I try to squish into my overpacked schedule, gaming is the one I actually miss the most when it falls out. Unfortunately, it also tends to be the one that falls out the most. Gaming got called this past weekend, which was okay because I was wanting a little more prep time anyway. But looking at the chances for gaming in the next several weeks, I find...

July 30th -- I'm currently slated to run Star Wars, but the way this week's been going, I'll be amazed if it actually happens.

August 6th -- [livejournal.com profile] lythandra and I are not available due to travel.

August 13th -- Next likely chance. Half a month away. -.- What do you want to bet that'll be the weekend my parents are moving?

I keep trying to arrange a schedule of "3 weekends of gaming a month with 1 weekend off." What I keep ending up with is "1 weekend of gaming a month with 3 weekends off."

Grrr. I hate being an adult sometimes.

You basically work 2 jobs, between your day job and your vocation (comic/art). Something's gotta have flexibility, and usually it's gaming. And everyone else involved has obligations too.

Having said that, I don't know what there would be for us to do when your parents have moving people over. I'd think we'd just be in the way.

Maybe, but I suspect they'll want us around. :)

Hmmm... any chance for an "alternate" night or time over the next few weeks? I know work nights are bad, and fridays are already claimed for a number of people... but... if I don't throw it out there... no one might think of it but me. =)

We might be able to do D&D on Friday August 5th, if everyone's available. I don't generally like to game after work, just 'cause we're usually all pooped -- but I sure am jonesing for a session!

I know that feeling. We wanted to shoot for two weekends a month. It didn't happen. We're lucky if we get one weekend every other month now. Hoopefully you'll get your time.

I love being an adult. I can have ice cream for dinner and no one says anything about it. ;)

I know what you mean. It has been several years now since I've been able to do any long term gaming. I really miss it but right now there is no way I can fit it into my schedule. I hope you can find a way to solve your schedule problem.

Regretfully, I find gaming suffers in my own life on
account of RL always coming 1st.

Man, my priorities are screwed up. ;P
