Not Quite Gaming, But I'll Take It

Well, I spent an entire evening playing The Bard's Tale. Pretty much just going from room to room, killing monsters and taking their stuff, with the occasional tongue-in-cheek gag.
I think
camstone would like this game. It's set in the Orkney Isles, so everybody from The Bard (played by Cary Elwes) to the lowliest goblin (called "trow" in here) has a Scots accent. The Bard is pretty much Tateland, "on a quest for coin and cleavage."
It's definitely lowbrow ... the first chapter opens with a trio of drunken sots singing a tribute to "Charlie Mopps, the man who invented beer." But after a week like I've had, dorky fun is the best medicine.
