Further Confusion has, since its start, had sponsorships: people ask to be sponsored to our convention, and what gets donated gets distributed. (If people donate in your name, you get that money. If people donate to a general fund, you get a portion of that money.)

I beleive that ChipUni is talking about a "tip jar", so to speak, specifically targeted to get a favorite artist or other individual out to FC. I like it.
