So have another Artie development pic!



This guy may be a little too "badass." I need a little more bounce and play, while still keeping the gleam in his eyes. But I'm getting there! The suggestions are helping, everybody! Keep 'em coming!

Hrm. I think his mane could probably use a little more volume and a little less braid but otherwise its pretty spiffy. Hmm. And maybe a little more tone and a bit less chiseled perhaps. Hmm. Just a suggestion. But yeah, its spiffy. ^_^

The Vega braid does a whole lot for the sexy. The eyes and smile are much more laid back too.

Maybe slightly bigger, rounder ears?

Make the grin a little wider and not quite showing teeth, then put a little glint in the eye. Maybe make them just a tiny bit narrower. That will give you "devious'n'playful." I love the headshot, though. That's one hawt lion drawn by one hawt lion!

Just reviewed the previous post with the Bearclaw assignment... I realize you've already widened the grin a lot, so that's not so neccessary. However, letting his teeth show ever so slightly is still worth a try.

It might help the playfulness you want if you could see how he looks in a "surprised and mesmerized by something shiny" sort of expression.

Like whatever emotion "o.o" is supposed to represent.

Definitely a pouncable hottie. One thing I would do is leave a little more white in the eyes, both making the iris/pupils a little smaller and putting a bit of highlight in. One thing I think would help turn Artie from badass to playful is a bit less definition in the muscles. Leave the bulk, but tone down the countour lines defining the muscle groups. That will make him a bit less intimidating, also implying he has a life outside the gym. ;) And I absolutely love the braid. I wish I could braid my own hair, but I can't keep even strands.

The body is a whole 'nother issue I've just barely scratched the surface of. :) Now that I've finally got some solid ideas about the head, I can start crafting the rest of the body around it.

This is showing a lot of promise. The only thing I would question is the size/length of the braid and a bit more mane down the side of the head (it may be there in the left hand sketch but it's not reading well).
