Great job, Gneech!

Maybe, but there's no sure way to tell from that one image.

I've heard from reliable sources that many cowboys, etc. did a great deal of experimenting...

Just a naughty wuff's $.02.

Nice work, Gneech. I wouldn't want this guy mad at me.

True, but if you know the wolf whose portrait this is...

Not sure this is the same company that I got mine from, but I have an Australian oilcloth duster in that style.

Here's a Google link:

I'd recommend getting the wool insert to make it more versatile.

Mine has been with me to Europe twice. I love my Coat of Many Pockets. :D

One of these days I'll have one as well. Luckily I live in an area where there are lots of Tack stores.

I had a Stetson hat as well, once. Black, just like in the picture. But my head either grew or the hat shrank.

I tell you what, you can do more expression with a turned head and one eye than most people can do with a whole body.

The pose is excellent, nearly what I had pictured in my head.

In short, I like it very, very well. It is excellent!

Thanks so very much! Just gmail me where you want the check sent and I'll get it in the mail ASAP!

I'll soon be the only one in our social circle who doesn't have a Gneech-drawn pic. I should remedy that. ;)

You have one of the handdrawn prototype Leona "I'm not crazy!" buttons.

Or at least, I gave you one...

I had a bro-in-law who worked for Thompson. I got to tour their facility. While they are no Winchester, seeing wood and metal be formed into a gun was a neat experience.

I like it, but I think the background is a bit off perspective-wise. But then again, I suck at backgrounds in general, so don't mind me. Heh.

From: [identity profile] the-gneech.livejournal.com
Can you be more specific?

-TG

Well, I sat down and worked on highlighting the perspective points. At first I didn't think they lined up, but I was wrong but... uh, anyways, I'll go over the lines I made...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v446/salenstormwing/hbar_cowboyPerspective.jpg

Ok, well, the points all do match in one spot, but the horizon seems a bit lower. If the hills were pushed up some and the lighter sand was pushed up a bit as well, it might look a bit better.

Another point is he seems about twice as tall as the saloon's canopy. Its perspective line is that one that intersects the blue vertical line. Heh. This is what I get for buying every How To Draw Manga book in existance, the ability to complain about silly perspective points without actually being able to do them myself. :(

Oh well, uh, does that count as more specific? Me, I think I'm more nip-picking, but hey, if you think that's bad, I'm even worst on myself. ^_^;

While I like the picture Gneech the first thing that popped into my head was "Where'd he get the toy gun?". I know you don't do that type of item often so I can understand. The rifle needs to be longer. Take a look here to see what I mean.

Dang, I can't believe I'm correcting the Gneech on a drawing. Oh am I ever going to pay for this!

Well, the only Winchester I ever saw up front and personal looked pretty small to me, but it might have been a reproduction.

I don't know what you might have seen, I'm not exactly a gun expert , but having grown up on a farm with uncles who had enough fire power to rival the national guard I've seen a lot of rifles. A standard Winchester 30-30, such as I own, would be longer then your arm. Maybe just put all this in the hopper for future reference. Like I said first, I like the drawing.

Oh, here I go again, arguing with Gneech. I need to shut my muzzle and get some sleep.
