Expectant Relations

If it doesn't happen sooner on its own, my neice is going to have labor induced on Friday, making me a great-uncle (as opposed to a "great" uncle; I'm actually a pretty lame uncle). It will also make my sister a grandmother (and my mother a great-grandmother), which I imagine is having some interesting psychological effects on the two of them.

Depends on the grandmother. My mom started calculating how soon my child could be a designated driver during his first trimester.

It is a weird concept to put one's mind around at first, but after a while you'll come to the conclusion you have a new niece/nephew (on the "Great-"level) to dote over.
