That ... was a heck of a storm that rolled through here last night.

Just after midnight.

Shaking the windows.

Blasting trees right and left.

Making it very difficult to sleep.

We lost power and everything here... fun fun. Supposedly another big one may roll through tonight, with hail (noooOOoooo all our gardening efforts will be left in ruin!)

Had it here in SE PA, too. Didn't last nearly long enough, though for me to enjoy that whole windows-on-three-sides-of-the-bedroom lightshow. Bummer. Sorry you got hit harder.

Would you believe we didn't get a single, solitary drop in Leesburg?

Those must've been some densely-packed storm cells -- we got pounded for a good half-hour! 0.o

Any chance you just slept through it? ;)

Nope, we were up till 2am watching "Kontroll". I was monitoring the storms carefully - they were very focused, yeah. We went outside and filmed lightning around 1am and could see it in all directions, but the thunder was always distant. Leesburg slipped through a gap in the cluster. Around 2am, it coalesced into a single cell over Alexandria, to the east.

B'more got nailed too, TG. Fortunately, I love thunderstorms, and watched it out of my 2nd story window until I fell asleep...lovely!

I love 'em too ... but not at that intensity when I'm trying to sleep!

Y'know, that's hardly a haiku...

But it's close enough. A+.

Still, a storm would be great out here... It's been dry but humid and hot and unpleasant out here.

They went through Detroit the previous evening. I always find thunderstorms very soothing when I'm trying to sleep.

It just rolled through central Jersey about, oh... ten minutes ago.
You should keep posting about big storms, you're a great weather forecast!
