I went to Barnes & Noble and bought Laurie's berfday presents this evening. I hope she'll like them, but I suspect she will. I also hope that she hasn't entirely guessed what they all are.

I also picked up the latest Dungeon Adventures / Polyhedron maganize, which includes "Omega World," a d20 update to that hoary old TSR classic, Gamma World. Toss Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, Escape From L.A., and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into a blender with the Cantina scene from Star Wars ... then throw in a few more guns and place firmly between your cheek and gum. Brain hurt yet?

Oh, that reminds me, Dan said that he saw City of the Spider Queen on sale at GenCon -- dangit, that's the one I want! I wonder if I'll see it at Dragon*Con.

Gamma World. I have some rather fond and fun memories playing that game. I wasn't even in high school yet and one of my three characters for that game was an intelligent dog. I didn't even know I was a puppy yet back then, but I still played the right role. heh. of course, one of my other characters for that game was an orangatang, so I guess that might not really mean all that much. -Frisk
