We survived Comic-Con.

It wasn't easy.

Sandals give me blisters.

More interesting stuff ... later.

FYI, Atlanta in early September is just as hot as San Diego was, if not hotter, which is why we generally stick to the air conditioned buildings. But in 2004, the A/C on the level where most of the panels are held was not working. That was an oven. Generally, though, the buildings are at least somewhat, and sometimes over air conditioned. Bottom line: you'll probably want to bring a sweater to put on if necessary. ; )

The apartments I had in Grover Beach did not have heat (or viable heat) so can usually adapt to anything between 40-85 degrees...except don't like air conditioning all that much except the past three days up here....house got over 95 degrees yesterday....

Man, just about every shoe I've ever owned has given me blisters. It's just a matter of how long it takes (at what pace over what terrain) the blisters to start, and not wearing my 2 mile max shoes on a day I cover 5 miles. Even my great hiking boots gave me blisters after seriously long hikes on mountains.

Reebok princess tennis shoes...

I forgot survival is an acceptable and even desirable outcome. I suppose I should be glad to have survived the experience as well. *sigh* Twas good to see you there, anyway.

Yeah. It wasn't a disaster but the opportunity cost was staggering. Three months of hard work, essentially for nothing. Got some intangibles out of it, but there would have been an easier way to do that.
