Oh look, NWN 2 won't run unless I upgrade to a $200 video card.

I ain't got time for that kinda crap right now. Back to the drawing board.

true, but if the amount of time it took them to finish NWN1 is any indication, by the time it's out the card will only br 50$ :)

It's out already, actually. I discovered that I needed the card upgrade because the program wouldn't run after 45 minutes of install.

According to this, it needs a NVidia 6600 or better (Geforce 6 series). I got one of them and they're not $200 cards. Mine was roughtly $60. Let me see...

Biotech built NVidia Geforce 7300LE (Geforce 7 series) on a PCI Express card: $54 through Newegg.

If you're stuck on AGP, though, A Chaintech AGP version is $106 through Newegg too.

Which tells me one thing: Where 'ya getting that $200 nonsense boy? Best Buy?

I'm looking at the "recommended," not the "required" -- there's no point in upgrading to the bottom!

But the real issue isn't the money, it's the time. It requires an act of Congress for me to have the free time to play the stupid thing as it is -- if I have to put time into making it -work- in the first place, it's better to just punt on the whole thing.

Hey, Gneech, have you tried www.onemorelevel.com? There's oodles of little flash games on there. I find that Bubble Shooter (Think Buster Brothers) and Dice Wars (think Risk) have tons of replayability. THey work great for my non-3D-card computer and my no-free-time life.

Ugh. Time, yeah, I can sympathize with that.
