Yet another reason to hate cellphones (as if we didn't have enough already): clandestine half-whispered conversations in the men's room. It would be merely annoying, except for the nonstop spew of profanity involved. What do you do, hold it all in so you can maintain a professional face, then call your girlfriend (although I can't imagine calling a "friend" those names) and let it all out in the men's room when you think nobody can hear you?

Gah. I want away from these people. -.-

I suppose you are a better person than me - I take the digital recorder route with that, but I'm passive agressive enough to use one of the vacant office phones to send it to their supervisor.

is to take it outside and try to be considerate around other co-workers...and that's also what IMs are for!

Well, I've only heard women in the bathroom on cell phones a couple of times, and it was usually the cleaning lady. No profanity in any case (unless it was in another language).

Well, I'll spare you the details of the particular conversation that led to this rant. Suffice to say, it wasn't just the word choice, but also the subject matter and general contemptibility.

Letting out a LOUD "Oh, god - that feels Gooood!" while they're talking tends to make them flee in terror.

I also find that a couple flushes of the closest toilet seems to help encourage them to go on their way.

When that fails I resort to accosting them in a very loud voice "DO YOU MIND??? I'M TRYING TO RELAX IN HERE!!"

I remember hearing one guy, this was in the days of public phones though, but I imagine if he has a cell now, he hasn't changed. I swear, he had to have used the *f* word about 60 times in the space of 2 minutes, and he was very loud, we were standing a good distance away. I kid you not.

Kerry, you might remember this one, we were in Lompoc setting up racks at the time.
