Massive Gneech.com Update!

[the_gneech]

The more-or-less "final" version of gneech.com is up, now with current and future projects listed, links to some of my stories, a complete (I think) bibliography, and links to the various online comics I read regularly (for those who are curious). There are also a few more quotes in The Quotinator, and a biographical page made up almost entirely of big fat lies.

I imagine that will depend on a) the project and b) your availability. :) Hopefully future projects won't be on the same kind of "Feed me, Seymour!" schedule as SJ is, so we can put more polish on it.

The....static....background....makes....my....laptop....ache....

It's nothing wrong with your site, but for some odd reason static backgrounds make my laptop chug more than just about anything else. Thankfully, you don't have megs of info on each page, so that helps. I've been to pages with static backgrounds that went on forever, and I finally just left them because it was such a hassle to view them.

Are you still going to post random sketches and the like?

Most of the time, random art will go up on my Jaxpad site probably, with links here.

re: chugging on the background, that's kinda odd, since the background image should be in your cache. Maybe it's the video card?

re: video card, I would say that you are right seeing as how the laptop only has a GeForce2 2 Go 16mb video card. Still, unless you have gobs of images at super high resolutions, I still don't understand why it would make it chug so.

*shrugs* One day, when this laptop kicks it, I'll get a new laptop.

Thanks. :) Note that it's "at least a year" rather than "about a year." I'm not sure at this stage how long it will be, depending on how the interim projects go. :)

I take it you've decided on a title for the new NN book.

You'll definitely benefit from doing print comics and not having to script around the layout and pacing limitations of webcomic.

I have decided on a title, yes. :) I don't want to announce it yet until I'm a little further along in the production, tho.

I don't know if it's just me (I'm on IE 6.0), but there's a few wonky things with the coding at first glance.

The first letter of all the choices on the menu get cut off for some reason.

And all the text descriptions on the books in the bibliography vanish if you scroll down o.0
