Two Towers Trailer Truly Terrific
Oct. 5th, 2002 10:06 amIn case you haven't seen it, there is a new, more complete trailer for The Two Towers at lordoftherings.net. I caught glimpses of Gollum, Wormtongue, wargs, and even the lower half of an ent. My concerns that it might not live up to the promise of Fellowship of the Ring are quickly subsiding.
DANG IT, WHY ISN'T IT OUT NOOOWWWW??? WAAAH!
-The Gneech, foaming at the mouth and falling over backwards

And Eomer's speech was, I hope, mistransribed. Here's what he actually said:
"Look for your friends, but do not trust to hope ... it uz forsaken these lands."
(I intentially wrote "uz" as that's the sound.) Now, here's what I think it should be:
"Look for your friends, but do not trust to hope -- it has forsaken these lands."
Hope has left, and there is nothing.
But the "behind the scenes" trailer commentary transcribes it thus:
"Look for your friends, but do not trust to hope. It is forsaken, these lands."
This sentence don't make a lick a' sense.
Wait 'til an English wonk friend of mine gets hold of this... oh. ;)

Eowyn: "The transcibers were untrained. They had no clue..."
Nevertheless, the movie itself should be quite impressive!
