Trimming, Pruning, and Maintenance
Apr. 17th, 2008 08:28 pmSpring cleaning time! I mentioned that I got a haircut yesterday, yes? And as my LiveJournal hadn't had a face lift in a while, I decided to apply a new style to it and I went through and pruned my tags a bit this evening. There's no reason why every Fictionlet should be tagged with "Fictionlet," "B&G," and "Brigid and Greg" for instance.
Furthermore,
lythandra and I did a bit of badly-needed trimming and cleaning on Buddha. Because it's still the dinner hour in some time zones, I won't expand on what part of Buddha got this trimming and cleaning, but suffice to say that kitty seriously wasn't enjoying it.
He's been having some digestive troubles lately that we suspect may be hairballs, Sunday morning will be time for his annual Lion Cut. This will be the third major haircut he's had since he adopted us, and we're beginning to think that he may need them more often still, like three a year instead of two.

huskyteer was so kind to send me. Two chapters in and while it's okay so far it hasn't exactly lit me on fire, either. Plotwise it's all been establishment, and I can sympathize with that, but at the same time, establishment makes for dull reading unless you punch it up with either a little humor, a little action, or both. So far the funniest moment has been when the narrator (a schoolteacher) finds some of his students smoking, ticks them off for it, then bums a cigarette off one of them. Still, as I say, only two chapters in, so I haven't really given it a proper chance yet. We'll see!
