I finished the Mopsy + Beowulf "Marble Halls" pic this evening, and I'm quite pleased with it. I think I'm going to run it on the NeverNever site on Sunday (new content! yay!), and announce on the SJ page and elsewhere that the original piece is up for auction. I'll probably run it on FurBid, because they seem to get more traffic than the Keenspot Auction Page.

Aah, Beowulf and Mopsy, I miss drawing you two. Come up with stories for me, darn you silly fae!

Hmmmm...what if others were to help with stories, Gneech?

Well, I'm interested in the idea, at least! :) But I'd need to hear more specifics before I could put real investment into it, if you see what I mean. :)

I know ... I'll get you to write it, and Vince to draw it, and all I'll do is slap my name on it and take credit for it! I mean heck, it works for Steven Spielburg... ;P

Okay, maybe not. ;)

I imagine that you know that Marble Halls is a very old song, and appeared on the Enya album "Shepherd Moons" perhaps a decade ago or thereabouts.

Also, there is a quite vulgar version of it that has been floating around Australia for many decades. If your interested, I'll post the lyrics I recall (the Enya version!) as they are quite aligned with Arcadian themes.

Although I don't really like the sentiment, and the guy being sung about must be a wet dishrag. ;)

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the artwork!

Well, I've been familiar with the song for quite a while, actually ... my first introduction to it was when Spike Jones used as the basis for a very silly version of A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court. :)
