This is the major map I made of my fantasy world, as of its last revision. Looking back on it now, I rather like the geography of it ... the lay of the land _looks like_ a real continent, at least IMO. However, the big problem I have with it, is how very Europe it is. See if you can spot: Scandinavia, Ireland, England/France, Spain, Persia, Egypt, China, and Mongolia!

Probably what I'll do is keep this map -- I like it -- tear out all the cities and cultures, and start over again from the beginning of time. I might invert the map -- making the gateway to the endless sea go out the east instead of the west, just to make things different. (It's worth noting that in the original creation, this continent was rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise and was in the southern hemisphere, so that the cold latitudes were towards the Endless Sea, rather than the Sea of Long Nights.)

I am entertaining questions, comments, or suggestions about the map, BTW, if you have any. :)

well...I see Egypt in here...right about where you would expect it...southwestern corner. I can't really read the names to pick off the rest of the areas...

Nice map!

This reminds me a lot of the pictures of how the world looked, tens of millions of years ago... I like this map! (And, yes, this is extremely European...)

Is this related to Suburban Jungle, Never, Never, or is this another fantasy world?

Mea culpa... mea maxima culpa...

I later saw your conversation with Mrs_Gneech...

Good luck with creating the world and the epic!

More Southern Hemisphere! There is too much going on in other worlds' Northern Hemospheres. It's like we're too boring.

It's not that you're boring at all! It's just that all the rest of us get confused by everything being upside down. ;) -TG

Nah! Christmas day is supposed to be hot. Birds fly north for the winter, and a bit of snow falls in June. Would not have it any other way. 8)
