Great googily-moogily, but giants minis are expensive! Unpainted, unassembled Reaper giants seem to average around $28 a head ... aftermarket pre-painted WotC plastics around $18 a head for the most common ones, if you can find them in stock, and the better ones skyrocket up in price from there.

Must weigh budget considerations!

...when I'm not busy shoveling snow, of course.

If you aren't obsessed with exactly matching a particular beastie from the Monster Manual, there are a lot of inexpensive options out there. I've never felt obligated to use the miniatures that game companies make for my gaming when a good toy or craft store can provide me with some pretty good monsters.

Michael's, in recent months, has been carrying a NIFTY line of inexpensive-but-well-sculpted plastic dragons, but even the Dollar Store can provide some fun and useful Monster Minis.

Yup, I fully intend to investigate such options ... once we're dug out.

Pro Wrestler Action Figures. I'm sure you can find some cheap that would work with a little repaint and accessorization.
