Part the first: Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] camstone! Where do you want to eat tomorrow?

Part the second: continued wishes for a rapid recovery, [livejournal.com profile] tye_g_wolfee! And I can vouch for you, the stairs moved. ¬.¬

Part the third: I thought for sure I had something else to say here, but I seem to have forgotten what it was. It'll probably come back to me about three minutes after I hit the "Update Journal" button, if I know my mind the way I think I do.

PS: No! I thought of it JUST before hitting the button! And it's this: congratulations to Tony Blair! Yet another something I envy the U.K. for, you guys have better chief executives than we do.

Since I was feelin' sketchy tonight, I decided to draw the Jedi Masters in my upcoming Star Wars game. )

Luke Skywalker should be familiar to just about everybody; Kyle Katarn is the protagonist of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight game series by LucasArts. Mica Darklighter is [livejournal.com profile] lythandra's player character from my old Richmond campaign, and Shradha is my character is her current Empire Strikes Back era game. (If he croaks in that one ... well ... we'll just say it was an alternate universe!) I was originally planning to have Leia be a Jedi Master too, but since the game is set two years after Return of the Jedi, I think that's a little premature.

(Note to [livejournal.com profile] satyrblade: I have no idea how to integrate Kend Harlow's past into the post-Attack of the Clones continuity. I figure I'll just say instead of a stormtrooper, he was an Imperial Navy officer, should he get a cameo at some point.)

Anyway! As we were heading home from our usual Friday night visit to [livejournal.com profile] jamesbarrett, [livejournal.com profile] hantamouse, and Mutti, we spotted something small and floofy in one of their neighbors' yards. I said, "Kitty!" but as soon as I said it I knew that wasn't it. It was behaving like a wild forager (such as a squirrel), not a cat -- and [livejournal.com profile] lythandra said, "That's no kitty -- that's a skunk!"

And indeed it was. Skunks are fairly common around here, but you almost never see them except for shapeless (and very smelly) dead piles by the side of the road. I think this if the first time that either of us have encountered a live skunk in the wild. We gave it a wide berth, but it was still cool.

Finally, when we got home and checked the mail, we found an unexpected little box from [livejournal.com profile] spikedpunch! Inside was a handful of cute little "Cardcaptor Sakura" plastic figurines. Thanks, dude! =D I'm guessing you happened upon 'em at a SF/anime con? :) It was a very cool little surprise.

That's all for now. Catcha later, everybody!
