Things Are Tough All Over

Y'know, I give my boss a lot of grief, but today he actually is in a tight spot and I sympathise. He basically has to take the heat for somebody else's screwup now (or more accurately, three or four different people's series of screwups) and that's never a fun position to be in.

So, in order to make his life easier, I hereby resolve to be less snarky to him today. 'cause that's the generous kind of guy I am. ;)

So Much For -That- Raise...

Guy at the Hobby Shop: "Yeah, actually, we're going to be putting our Lord of the Rings miniatures line on clearance in the next week or so."

Me: "Well, well, well!"

No, I absolutely don't need more miniatures. But I don't think that's liable to stop me. I can think of at least two items from the LotR line that I decided I would only get if I could find them at a discount price. And I bet I can find more that I would be willing to buy at a discount price.

I just gotta make sure I get lythandra's berfday prezzie first. ;)
