iPadding Out My Content
Nov. 24th, 2023 08:12 pmI am posting this from my new iPad, trying out the keyboard built into the cover and just sorta seeing how well it works as a baby laptop. The verdict? Well-ish, as far as the touch interface will allow. It did literally prompt me to ask if I wanted to enable dictation as I was typing this, which amuses me. (The answer is of course, “no,” both because I love to type, and also because there are other people around I want to not bother.
Anyhoo! Fun news on the Shade-Of-the-Candle front: I have signed up for the game, and what’s more, Inkblitz has as well, which is an even better outcome than I’d been hoping for. We rarely get to play together, and he’ll be bringing Swiftstorm, his own “character-I-love-dearly-but-rarely-get-to-play”. I fully expect the two of them to be chaos goblins together, and I can’t wait. <3
Work this week has been rough, which is one reason the journal has been quiet. As it is, I spent most of Thanksgiving afternoon asleep, because I was so wiped out by working that morning; I also went in early to work today so that I could get OFF work early in order to get into the car and drive to the in-laws for the weekend… and then back to work on Monday. Oof. -.- Fortunately, I have the rest of the week off in order to toss together what prep I can for MFF, then hop on the plane Wednesday? Thursday? I forget which.
I am so not ready for another convention. XD I haven’t produced anything new since AC, I haven’t put together that “new table layout” I keep wanting to put together after every con, I haven’t done any art for an art show despite it being on my to-do list every week. Holy cats I miss the days of producing comics with manic intensity. >.> It probably wasn’t good for me, to be honest, but at least when I ended my week underslept and running low on spoons, I knew why. ;P
I will say that at least I managed to complete some commissions this past month, as well as continuing my professional GM sessions and fairly regular streaming schedule. So it’s not like I haven’t done anything. And, the past week of quiet notwithstanding, I’m posting here again. Hello, everyone who’s reading! I love you! <3
Hopefully, I’ll be hitting the sack early-ish tonight. In a strange bed, yes, but I’ll have my own pillow and my CPAP machine, so as long as the bed isn’t a marshmallow that breaks my back, that should be all I need. To that end, good night world, and have an awesome tomorrow.
