Good, Bad ... I'm the Guy With the Pen
Feb. 22nd, 2002 10:11 pmWell, the bad news is that there's no way I'm going to make my Saturday deadline.
The good news is that something way cool popped up not-quite-out-of-the-blue, which is taking my attention instead.
The bad news is that I have to go to work during the day tomorrow, and won't be able to work on the cool thing then.
The good news is that the cool thing has until Monday or so to be finished.
The bad news is that I still have to draw strips for Monday.
The good news is that NN is penciled, and just needs to be inked.
The bad news is that SJ is neither penciled nor inked, although it is written.
The good news is that I have two very smart and creative people who seem to have made it their mission to provide this cool thing.
The bad news is that if I screw it up, I'll only have myself to blame.
The good news is that I'm more than willing to do the work required.
The bad news is that I have only the vaguest idea of what that work is.
The good news is that this cool thing could open a whole new world for me.
The bad news is that it could also turn out to be nothing at all.
The good news is that if it turns out to be nothing, I still haven't lost anything.
And there isn't any more bad news, which is also good news.
Good wins, by one point! Woohoo! :)

I don't think there's anything you really need to do! So, as Dover would say if he's feeling succinct: "Bad--" (short for 'Let Bad = Bad - 1')
The bad news is that I still have to draw strips for Monday.
Now you have more time. Good++
The bad news is that if I screw it up, I'll only have myself to blame.
With nothing to do, you can't screw it up. Bad-- (But two people won't be happy about it ;) )
The bad news is that I have only the vaguest idea of what that work is.
That might be interesting news later, but it's not bad now. Bad--
The bad news is that it could also turn out to be nothing at all.
What ever happened to "No news is good news?". It didn't cost much. Bad--
Good wins, by one point! Woohoo! :)
Good is now ahead by six, and isn't even sweating.
