Fri, 15:26: The idea that conventions (that aren't on the same weekend, anyway) are competition for each other? Weird.
Fri, 15:30: 1) The hardcore fans, the patrons and super-patrons, tend to be well-heeled and go to several cons.
Fri, 15:31: 2) Locals, for whom the cost of a convention is fairly low, can easily go to multiple (local) cons, assuming they can afford any.
Fri, 15:31: 3) As a dealer, my preference is to go to ALL THE CONS, because that's how I make my living.
Fri, 15:32: 4) Most of the con organizer folks I know, work for multiple different cons. They'd just be in competition with themselves!
Fri, 15:34: The idea of a brony con seeing furry cons as competition is like Dragon*Con competing with Furry Weekend Atlanta. Just sorta... "What?"
Fri, 15:39: In any case, I won't start ranting about the ridiculousness of pretending MLP isn't a subset of furry. At least, not right now. >.>
