We have roughly the same thing in Canada for the SEP IRA , called the TFSA (Tax free savings account). You can put up to $5500 a year into it, interest earned is also tax free.

Odd, i was sure I left a comment last night...

In Canada, the SEP IRA is known as a TFSA (Tax Free Savings Account) , where you place up to $5500 per year. The interest is also tax free, and you don't pay taxes when you withdraw the money.
