Downgrades ... GRRR

Somewhere in my recent computer changes, I quietly and without notice lost the ability to create MP3 files, and the only way to regain it appears to be buying new software.
Grr.
What's particularly annoying is Windows Media Player being able to record Windows Media format files, but requiring a $10 plugin to record MP3's. Whoever thought of proprietary formats should be kicked hard in a very sensitive place.
Well, if I going to have to shell out money for lost functionality anyway, I think I'll go buy a third-party product, thank you very much.

Date: 2003-04-12 03:55 pm (UTC)It works really nicely. an has neat effects.
I can send it to you. it works for 98. an i have XP an it still works.
you can play mp3s, an make mp3s. (either rip from a cd, or convert a .wav to an mp3.) has neat little functions. an you can decide what bitrate you want them to be riped at.
a couple of the songs i'v sent you, i used that program to use.
an you wont find it anywhere, because the company got greedy an took down there site. >:} So i have the somewhat old 'illegal' free version.
it used to change my homepage when i used it.. but i dont think it does anymore. even still, its easily fixed. an still nicely used.
if you want it, AIM me an i'll end the file. ^.^'
