Angsty, Isn't It?

Whoof; lots of unhappy people on my LJ friends list today. It's like an entire collective consciousness has got the dumps. While I sympathise on a one-to-one basis with everyone on my list, when taken as a whole it does become rather daunting.

I think I'll march to a different drummer ... specifically one playing some raucous dixieland jazz, and be cheerful today. It's a beautiful day (relative to August) and I've got a two-day week coming up, followed by two days of cartooning, and then Dragon*Con. Woohoo! I'm jazzed!

I have had a marvelous weekend + a couple days, so I guess I would be the exception to that rule. I think that getting out of the house does wonders for my disposition.

Of course, then I get to come home to the dishes/laundry/catbox/etc that I have been leaving until I have the energy...

Still, I wouldn't change what I have for what I could have. A cheerful wide-eyed kitty is lots more fun than a clean house. :)

*waddles in, still stuffed from a giganormous meal* Urp. Much happiness. :) I broke away from my usual shrimp tempura meal, and had yakisoba instead. Then we saw Pirates of the Caribbean. Good day, indeed. :)

I'm jealous. Dinner at Benihana's is on my list of "things I have to do before I die". Oh, and speaking of Benihana, I want to see Iron Chef live sometime. That would be totally hilarious. :-)

There's a restaurant locater on their website. :) When we were in Alaska, we saw one in Anchorage. Didn't have enough time to eat there before our flight.

*scratches head* I thought Iron Chef ended. Could be wrong, though, I frequently am. :) I refuse to watch the horrid american version with Shatner hosting. *shudders*

It's still on the food network all the time. My roommate, who is a Japanese-Portugese from Hawaii, watches it all the time.

In Japan they stopped making the weekly episodes in 1999, but they apparently still do 4-5 special 2 hour long shows a year. At least according to this site. Just takes them a while to import/translate the episodes. :)
