Better Today :) And Gaming Stuff

I didn't do much sleeping yesterday after all; mostly I vegetated all day. But apparently, that's what I needed!

Following up on yesterday's post about Wing Commander d20 ... I have gotten past that particular brain seizure; the thing of it is that I don't want to write it, really, I want to play it ... but since my chances of playing it are vanishingly small, my mind latched onto the closest thing that would be within the realm of possibility, which is writing it myself.

I want to diversify my gaming ... in particular, I need to find another GM so I can play more. jamesbarrett is running a D&D game, and that's cool, but D&D just scratches the surface of my gaming interests. I've posted on the ENWorld Gamers Seeking Gamers board, but without results so far. So now I'm looking into other avenues of game-finding. I went by Game Parlor hoping for a bulletin board, but I didn't see one.

D&D it ain't, but it's still fun.

As for not seeing a bulletin board, maybe you should set up your own there? Bring one in and ask if you can hang it up? Think about it, you could tell people in power there it'd increase their business because they'd come to check it, and while they're there, they buy stuff. *shrugs*

Gee, it makes me wish I lived further north in Virginia. My local gaming group has pretty much vanished, due to the two most likely player/GMs being on staff on two local cons, and one being sucked into Wizkids' clix games. Which is very cool, but I personally am not into those.

Ahhh, for the days when I managed to roleplay, in character, a Shadowrun GM into backing down from his plot contrivance because my Mage wouldn't back down from the dragon the GM was claiming was Dunkelzahn. (He was RPing him wrong, but even a FAKE Dunkelzahn would have kicked my mage's tail. Though at least he'd have noticed her Mana Bolt before he fried her.) ;-3

Whoops, I got lost in reverie there. Though it would be cool to be able to fell people I'm in the Gneech's gaming group. I'd even play AD&D again for something like that. :-3
