Weird Coincidences

Sometime last week, I forget the exact circumstances now, I was reading an essay on some literary topic (I think it was Harry Potter, actually), and I thought somewhat disdainfully to myself, "This is the sort of person who would come up with pages and pages on homoerotic subtext to the Jeeves and Wooster stories, and feel very clever for having done so."

This morning, I happened upon indeedsir, only to discover to my annoyance that somebody has done just that.

Le sigh.

Well not just that, but to apply sexuality to them completely and utterly misses the whole point of their existence. It's like looking for sexual innuendo in Fun With Dick and Jane -- you can deliberately misinterpret things and find it there easily, but it's a gross misapplication of literary technique to do so.
