As I said (loudly) in the theater when I saw the trailer, "Oh, great. They made a movie out of it, so NOW Americans will think they know the Illiad."

I said pretty much the same thing when I heard about this one. "Brad Pitt? As ACHILLES?? Oh, you must be joking."

Then I saw the trailer before Matrix Revolutions and swiftly changed my mind. "Hey, that actually looks like they might have done it up right. Great period look. With Wolfgang Petersen directing, good. And nice cast! Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean, Peter O'Toole, Julian Glover. Rock on."
