How high do you expect that to go? My guess is $250,000.

That's a good guess. I'll go along with it. -TG

Obscene! That should be in a museum where we can *all* sit in it once in our lives!

I agree with TK

I'd LOVE to have a picture of my mom (a charter Trekkie who can discuss almost any episode of TNG and the original series ad infinitum) sitting in that chair.....(grin)...

with those that said it should be in a place where all can see it. Like the Smithsonian or someplace like that. Planet Hollywood would work for me as well

oh and did you know that you and [livejournal.com profile] katyamma both posted about it at around the same time *if I take time zones into correct account*

I think it ought to be in the Smithsonian... they have Dorothy's ruby slippers, Mr. Rogers' sweater, etc.

Yes, but then it would be behind glass and velvet ropes. And, as [livejournal.com profile] keloggs2066 pointed out, the Smithsonian is fickle about what they make available to the public.

Well -- yes, it would be behind glass and velvet ropes, as opposed to being sat on until it is destroyed by mere use. If you want it preserved and taken care of, and if viewed, viewed for free, the Smithsonian is the way to go. I'm still amazed that I can look at the Hope Diamond any time I like on my lunch break, for free...

Thanks!

I needed a dose of Matt Jefferies to help out with next week's strips. :)
