He was one of the additional guests at my first Star Trek convention. I got to meet him briefly and he was a really nice man. Security was tight because it was the same convention at which Patrick Stewart was the main attraction and they wanted him to quit circulating the crowd, but he wouldn't do it.

He'll be missed.

He will be greatly missed, and tomorrow I will celebrate his life with the most appropriate thing I can think of- an engineering project.

He was my favorite. I mean, I loved Bones' personality, but Scotty was what I'd be doing if the Federation actually existed. And I'd do it the way he did it. Impeccably.

Yeah, and the thing I always would wonder is, if I had ever gotten the chance to talk to him would I have talked to him more about Captain Scott on the Enterprise or Captain Doohan on Juno Beach on June 6th.

The greatest irony I just found was I checked spelling on my last post and the only thing that came up was Doohan with this little interesting tidbit.
