Did a bunch of roughs for t-shirt ideas today; I really like three of them, although HantaMouse suggested and I concur that one of them would be better as a color flyer -- which I might also try to do.

I am trying to decide how risque it should be. One of them has Tiffany wearing nothing but an oversized men's button-down shirt a la Jane Fonda in Barefoot In the Park -- which doesn't show anything that one of her bikini pics doesn't show already, but somehow manages to be twenty times more rrrrroowwrrrrr.

The other is a perspective shot that basically has Tiff lying on the ground facing the viewer -- you see her face and arms and hair, and her lower back and knees. I could have it be a racy pic and have her nude, which would basically allow you to see the base of her tail where it meets her spine. Or I could have her wearing a sun dress or something along the lines of the ROWR Magazine cover. I'm not sure which would (A) be better artistically, and (B) sell more t-shirts. I'm open to comments, if you have any.

I'm going to work at least one of these up as a full-blown picture for the T-Shirt Maven tomorrow. Unfortunately, that will kill D&D for this weekend, since I am supposed to be the DM next. Alas and alack, but I must prioritize somehow.

I won't go into a long rant about magazines here, but I will note that it's very interesting the difference between what women's magazines say is sexy for women, and what men's magazines do. Women's magazines are all about allure; men's magazines are all about sleaze. It's bizarre. :)

Frankly, sleazy women make me go "Eeeew!" and yank my paws away like a cat reacting to flypaper. I have never understood the appeal, and guess I never will.

But then, I have odd tastes, generally. :)

Well, that's all for tonight, I think. Catcha later, all!

You know? I think I have to dispute that. I think most advertising with women in it is either degrading to their intelligence or form centric- on the anorexic, too. I REALLY have a problem with BOTH men aimed, and women aimed ads. If it's not sleaze, it's pressure.

I agree with both you and Talldan...

.... Cosmo is the worst for pressuring women...

... and (being bi) Sleeze doesn't do much more for me than make me go "eeww" too... but that's for both sexes.... so from a female to male standpoint, many fems probably have similar thoughts... not all, and not the same way that I would necessarilly, but they might agree with you for their own reasons..

Heyas, Gneech...

Which shirt to make depends on who you're selling to.

Anthropomorphics without clothes aren't necessarily sexy. (Except, of course, Drezzer.) Clothing should conceal and promise to reveal...

If you're going for SEX-ZAY!, I'd go for the picture of Tiffany in the oversized shirt. If you're going for more subdued but still sexy, I'd have Tiffany lying toward the viewer, wearing something sexy.

I look forward to seeing the pictures, though!

I agree....

I have to agree with Chipuni here, anthropomorphics nude just tend to look like normal animals. With sexy clothes, though, it gives more the suggestion of something forbidden, and thus more alluring.

I like the idea of the shirt, and the sundress in the lying down position kind of combines, in my mind at least, a sort of wholesomeness and innocence because of the style of dress, and still the sexyness you're looking for because of the pose, so would appeal to the folks that like the innocent look.

Mur <--thinking too much for this time of morning....

Well, sex sells, but if it's all sex, is it still art?

As far as sleaze, I certainly agree with you. Complete turn-off. I want to see women who respect themselves, eat healthily, and are beautiful on their own merit, not how many augmentations they've had and how much lipstick they can fit on their lips.

Of course, right now, I'd rather see a certain wolf... :)

Women always look way sexxxier in button-down shirts, with or without either skirt or pants - IMO anyway. (Hey, if we're talking my opinion, I like 'em a little bookish too, with glasses.) ;)

Why? Nobody knows. It's one of life's great mysteries.

I'd like to see either the shirt or the dress - for the reactions expected of either (sexy/innocent). I don't think I'm alone when I say that I'm not attracted to 'Tiffany' per se., but I like the concept - the artwork.

For those who say it's degrading... consider Tiffany's profession. She's a model. Her profession is that which could "degrade" her. On the other hand, this is also her big dream, isn't it? Maybe to Tiffany it isn't degrading. Maybe to Tiffany, it's empowering.

How about Tiffany in one of those cute schoolgirl outfits they use so much in anime cartoons? :)

My vote is for the button-down shirt. Maybe it's just me, but the sundress concept just doesn't do anything for me.

Re: Women's magazines--I think they're stupid, inconsistent, and useless. But then I have a healthy body image. ;)

Sleazy doesn't do anything for me, either.

I'd go for the button-down shirt first - the sundress second.

I kind of like the School Uniform Idea, but that's for another kind of pic... *grins*
