I think Artie is finally starting to solidify. Partially inspired by bauske's pic, and partially because I was going to anyway ;) I worked on him a bit more.



Now to start actually using him in some art, instead of just pfutzing around with character designs!

It's amazing how much more one learns about a character in action or emoting, rather than just a generic head shot! Working on different expressions helped me figure out how Artie reacts to things.

Lookin' Good!

The main drawing is getting very polished IMHO. I also like the emotions you've put on him. Upper right is not a grin/smile I recall seeing your other characters use. And the one on the upper left could say several things depending on the setting. I think you're on to a character here my friend. Looking forward to seeing him make an entrance.

Maybe it was the glasses or the broader muzzle but it looked new. Either way it looks good on Artie.

These are brilliant. I love the bottom three best. The innocent confusion, the startled "wha?" and the "I WILL EAT YOUR HEART" expressions are so expressive. But the big middle one is really gorgeous. He's definitely coming into his own.

I'll work on both for you when I can. :) The hairstyle just got fluffed up a little. He's still going to have the Manly Viking long braid. ;)

Oh, yes! The teeth in the smile worked a miracle! The whole pic is awesome, but the smile really clinches it!
