the_gneechIt will probably come as a surprise to no one that Laurie and I picked up Fellowship of the Ring on the way home.
It will probably come as a surprise to no one that I still love it.
It may come as a surprise to a few that I think my bonus disk is damaged, and may have to take it back for an exchange.
It came as a surprise to me to get, as a bonus, a very nice 18" x 18" map of Middle Earth.
It didn't come as a surprise to me that the book Laurie then purchased at Barnes and Noble was precisely what I was planning to get her for her birthday next week.
It did come as a surprise to her when I told her.

Date: 2002-08-07 05:40 am (UTC)We're waiting until all three movies have been released before we purchase them; I hate it when the company pulls things like that but think it worth the wait. I'm still mad that they pulled that with The Mummy and The Mummy Returns --- right after we'd bought the first disc by itself.
I guess I'm lucky; Simtra couldn't guess his way out of a paper bag so I have little worry about him buying his gifts before I can.
