That thing on the right is a troglodyte, right? Always wondered exactly what a troglodyte looked like ... more froggy or salamandery... guess that answers that.

I'm doing my best! I have a closet full of suits and dress shirts. I'm even using those funny things called shoe trees ;)

Look...since I've become a "brony", I'm not sure I'm one to talk, you know? =^_^=

I'm not sure how being a brony is connected. There are plenty of perfectly well-dressed bronies!

Well, I'm not so much into suits, but the guy on the right is just a complete douche.

Cary Grant....
There is a leading male...period.
What is that to his right side I have no idea.

A century happened :P though in this case *looks* a trend of douchiness has started.

Just a little unfair to men, calling that thing on the right a man, don't you think?

I have no idea who the schmuck on the right is, but just to play Devil's Advocate, if I had a body like that, I'd show it off. :P

Not that I've anything against Mr. Grant.

The cold war ended and media lost its mandate to show the world how wholesome the US supposedly was.

Douches were always around. They just wore different outfits and weren't celebrated in the media as much.

The Youth culture took over.

Maturity stopped being admired. Indeed Maturity became denigrated.

We now have a culture that celebrates immaturity and childish behavior in attitude and dress.

But, there is hope. And you find it in the oddest places.
Why is My Little Pony popular? In my opinion, it is, at least in part, because you actually have a cast of characters who are nice to each other and try to solve their problems in a way that's caring and mature.

Contrast that with the usual vile behavior you see on most cartoons aimed at "adults."
